In a world where selfies dominate, getting a photograph clicked by a stranger is becoming a rarity. Yet, serendipity smiled upon us in Vietnam when a friendly hostel host, Phạm Văn Tùng, offered to take a few shots.


It might not have been the most picturesque spot, but that was beside the point. We were there for the view behind the hostel. Tùng led us to the top floor, revealing an astonishing vista - a perfect sunset capping our first day of biking through the breathtaking mountains of Ha Giang, Vietnam.
