If you are planning a trip to Vietnam, it's important to know that Indians along with seventy-nine other countries need to apply for an e-visa before their planned visit. To make the process smoother, here are five important things you must keep in mind when applying for a Vietnam e-visa:

  1. Visa on Arrival is not available for Indians, so it's mandatory to apply for an E-Visa before your planned visit.

  2. It usually takes 3 business days to approve an E-Visa, but it's recommended to apply at least 10 days in advance to avoid any last-minute hassle.

  3. Beware of scams and only apply through the official website (E-VISA: Click this Link), where you pay a reasonable fee of $25 for the application. Any website charging more than that is not legitimate.

  4. The required documents include a scanned copy of the front and back pages of your passport, a passport-size photo, and details of your flight and hotel booking, with the correct port of entry mentioned.

  5. Ensure that the port of entry mentioned in the visa application matches exactly with the one you will use, even if the port of exit is different. If not, you'll have to repeat the documentation and pay an additional $25 at the airport.
